The service of PMPPKN (Indonesian Christian Student and Youth Fellowship) was held again on Monday, October 19, 2020. It was a live-streaming service that was aired through Facebook and Instagram. The Word of God was delivered by Novy Marlina and and Elvina Romei, taken from Psalm 84:11-12 and Mark 5 :25-29.

The service was opened in prayer by Novy Marlina. She delivered the Word of God from Psalm 84:11-12 (NKJV) For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He with hold From those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You!”

How important it is to remember God’s goodness. God is never late in His goodness, just like then sun that is never late to rise in the morning. It’s the same with God’s love for us, it is always on time. God is a good Father  who never leaves us. In the midst of a pandemic like this, oftentimes we feel lonely and bored. Therefore, it is very important to remember God’s goodness, so that we won’t get bored or feel lonely, instead our love for God grows every day. We often hear in the news that many people feel stressed during this pandemic, but God does not want us to feel stressed, but be joyful in Him by remembering His goodness.

Psalm 84: 12 “Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You!”

The Word of God says we are happy people because we have God who loves and always gives goodness in our lives. We also have to remember that Jesus has died on the cross for us. God loves us so much. Don’t lose hope or feel lonely because there is God with us.

Novy Marlina then led those who want to invite Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour in a salvation prayer. She also led those who want to be used as servant of God andwho want to renew their commitment to serve God in prayer.

Elvina Rome continued preaching the Word of God. She read from Mark 5: 25-29.  We have been blessed with the Word of God about remembering His love. We should always remember God’s goodness because God has been good for us and there is also a promise of healing that God has given for us.

Mark 5: 25-29 (NKJV) Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,  and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well. ”Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

There was a woman who had been sick for 12 years. She had received a lot of medications for so many times. If she lived in our age, probably she had been back and forth to hospital. She had spent a lot of money and time, but there was no change. So, when she heard that Jesus was coming, she had faith and she said in her heart, If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well. She approached Jesus from the back, probably nobody knew that she had struggle with her sickness, but she came to Jesus in faith.

If you are suffering from any sicknesses, maybe it’s been years, or  even covid-19, have faith in Jesus, just like this woman. Lay your hand on the part of the body that is sick and believe that Jesus is able to heal you. Elvina prayed for those who were sick and she closed the service in prayer. Praise be to God who has saved many lives today. Amen.
