Praise The Lord that the youth crusade can be held in Ambon, it’s such a wonderful God’s work.
Just a few days before, we were canvassing to every colleges faculty and schools make sure the students attendance in the crusade, for we have invited them by formal letter and invitation just a week before.
Every disciples have done their best effort to fund this crusade, they even busk in local food center such as Ambon Plaza. We joined them also, and we saw how passionate they are.
Minus 3 days before the crusade, we have make sure every schools, campuses for their students be able to attend the crusade. Although, many schools and campuses doesn’t allow their students to join for several reasons, such as mid term test and government program activities.
Many schools confirmed that their students will attend the crusade, some still tried to arrange their students, some already confirmed by numbers of students that will attend the crusade, such as 50, 20 and 10 students.
We also invited every college students, some of them sitting on the porch of their faculty, we even gave some preaching to them. Mostly gave good response, and wanted to attend the crusade.
We planned for The crusade start at 4 PM WIT, but the crusade started at 5 PM WIT.
Around 3.30 PM, 2 teachers came from SMKN 6, they make sure that 35 students will come from their school, even the principal himself make sure that 35 students will attend the crusade, but until the crusade started, less than that number attend from their school.
Also from SMK 7 Ambon, 2 teachers attend to accompany the students, they said that 20 students will come, but until the crusade started, only 2 students attend the crusade.
Mrs Thung, one of the teacher said that the students weren’t easy to attend any activity outside school hours. The students will attend only if the activity held in the school.
Finally, just a few minutes before 5 PM, some students came from SMA PGRI, SMA 12 and some college students from UKIM, Unpatti dan Poltek Ambon to attend the crusade.
While we waited for them to come, we contacted by phone, some of the schoola and campuses students that we have invited days before, for them to come to the crusade.
The Crusade started at 5.30 PM, Eby started with opening prayer, and then Tania read the Bible from Psalms, and then they started the praise and worship.
Although, majority of the students were came from Protestant Church background, but they kept praising God with handclaps, and singing together with praises such as Enter Hos Gate With Thanksgiving, etc
Before the sermon, Eby asked everyone to sing, Goodness Of God, every audience praised God with solemnity.
The word of God were preach by Ps Herry Santoso, taken from Isaiah 43:4, that tells how God’s love everyone who came that day.
Even if they done sims like pornography, LGBT, feud for being bullied by others, loneliness, and heavy burden, God wants to help them, as long as they wanted to come to God, for they are so precious to God.
When they asked to be born again, they were all came to God with solemnity, they burst out in tears. Praise The Lord for them be born again and received Jesus as Lord and savior.
Eby continues with prayers for those who were having heavy burden, many souls came and lifted up their prayers.
After that, Ev. Eva continues the service with challenge for them to serve God. The word of God taken from 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Isaiah 6:8
It was said that The redemption from Christ has given us liberty. And let the life that has been freed by God, filled with the holiness, be a new creation, for God longing to use us to serve Him.
It was said that they are special, God’s chosen people, from many schools and campuses that was invited, they are the ones who came to the crusade, if they came, they are God’s chosen people.
Praise The Lord, 33 souls gave their lives to serve God.
Then, the crusade continues with the offering prayer, lead by Sophia. After that, Tania lead an ice breaker session, and then present the presentation regarding to the PMPPKN. She asked everyone who came to shake each other hands and get acquainted, while singing ‘Hari Ini Kurasa Bahagia ‘. Everyone greet each other with smile. .
After that, some announcement were said, that there will be a follow up after the crusade, and many show enthusiasm.
