Praise God, 22-Nov-2024 is a special day for Christian Youth in Pontianak. We thank God for the bright and sunny day upon the city after several days of heavy rain prior to this event. PMPPKN held “Zona Anak Tuhan” event, located in GKE Pintu Elok and there are 530 people (students and teachers) attended the event from 22 schools and 4 universities, hallelujah.
The event started at 10.00 AM with opening prayer by Mrs. Sriyana Yopita from SMA 7 Pontianak who also acts as Chair of MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) for high schools in Pontianak. The praise and worship are led by Adi and Evangelist Sofie (both from PMPPKN). All the students face shows happiness when they sing “Hari ini kurasa Bahagia” and they shook hands and held each other’s hands. They even more rejoice when singing the next song, “Lebih dari Pemenang”.
Ps. David Simanjuntak delivered the bible message from Psalm 119:9 and 1 Corinthians 15:33, that God loves and wants to forgive all our sins. He cares for us and able to change our life. God never compromise with sin and the wages of sin is death. Ps. David asked all the students to come to Jesus, to seek His forgiveness and to repent. Praise God, He touched their hearts and tears are flowing. All the students stand up and gave their life to Jesus, hallelujah.
Ps. Tonny Chandra continued to deliver the bible message from 1 Peter 2:9 and stated that God has a plan in their life and God wants to use them. Our life is precious for God and we are the chosen people by God to spread His love for all the people around us. Ps. Tonny challenged the students to come forth to the altar for those who wants to become the servant of God. Praise God, all of the students responded by raising their hands and then come forth to the altar. The altar become so crowded and full so that many of the students remained on their seat while raising their hand and surrender their life to Jesus. It’s an incredible moment. Ps. Tonny also asked if there’s any from the students who come to the event in sick condition. There are 15 students raised their hands and among them, there are 8 students who are sick. We then prayed for these students, and praise God, miracle happened. There are 3 students shared their testimony that God has healed them from heartburn, fever for almost a week, and pain in the ribs. Hallelujah, Jesus is our healer and all glory to God.
Mrs. Yuliana, a teacher from YPK school then shared its impressions and message during the event, in which she felt so blessed with the ministry held by PMPPKN. She also experiencing healing during the prayer. At the end of the event, we played a movie of PMPPKN ministry profile and announced a follow-up event to be held on Saturday, 23-Nov-24 at 10AM located at Abdi Wacana high school.
Before the event is finished, Ps. Johan led all the students with an iconic PMPPKN yel, and they are very enthusiastic. The event, then closed in prayer by Ps. Johan. It’s a wonderful moment where we can see the revival of young generation in Pontianak. Hallelujah.
