Praise The Lord, PMPPKN Team are grateful to be able to serve at Vocational High School 1 Balikpapan for the Youth Gathering event. This event also invited other schools in Balikpapan. We arrived at the school at 11:00 AM to prepare the room and practice with the musicians. After that at 14.00 PM came Pastor Anita, as the religion teacher and we were welcomed with joy.
There are 108 students who attended including : Vocational High School 1, Vocational High School 3, Vocational High School 4, Vocational High School 5, Vocational High School Persada Bakti, Senior High School 4, Senior High School 9 Balikpapan.
Then at 15.00 PM the service began, Evangelist Maya, from the PMPPKN team invited all students present to shout Hallelujah together and also yell with more enthusiasm. Then Pastor Anita led the opening prayer. After that we started by singing together “Hari ini Kurasa Bahagia”.
Then we invited all the students to worship God and sing a song “Sungguh Indah”, some of them singing with crying, then Evangelist Elvina preached from Isaiah 43:4 “Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life..” It was conveyed that our lives are precious in God’s eyes because He does not want us to perish, He has a beautiful plan in our lives, therefore the Lord Jesus came to this world to save our lives. After that, we watched the movie The Crossing; this movie tells the story of Jesus’ sacrifice. Some of them cried because of the movie, God really touched them with His love. Praise God, there were 50 disciples who repented and accepted Jesus as Lord.
Then, Pastor Nila Tessa invited the students to come forward, and asked who has longing to serve God, and praise God, there were 85 students who raised their hands and came forward. After that, Pastor Nila Tessa prayed for them, what a beautiful moment, the Lord Jesus touched the hearts of each of those present. Hallelujah.
After the service was over, we continued by making 3 groups to inform them that this event does not stop here because there will be bible sharing in the next meeting and praise God they also longed to follow it. Praise The Lord!
