A service of PMPPKN (Indonesian Christian Student and Youth Fellowship)was live streamed through Facebook (PMPPK Nasional) and Instagram (Zona Anak Tuhan) on Monday, August 31, 2020. The Word of God was delivered Sister Arisma, taken from John 15: 12-15.

This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. (NKJV)

Praise the Lord if we are called as God’s friends. A friendship is not an ordinary relationship for it must have a closeand intimate relationship towards each other. A friend knows and loves each other and it is built upon a trust. It is impossible to tell everything about ourselves, either the good and the bad things, to others that we don’t trust at all. We do it because we believe in that person and that’s why we call him or her as a friend.

We are called as the friends of God when we do His commands. So, how do you we become His friends? We must draw ourselves close to God and have a good communication with Him. Jesus is a very good friend. Even though we are far from God, but Jesus never thought for a second to stay away and leave us. However, He continues to draw us closer to Him. That is why Jesus is our true friend because He will never leave us.

We must have a friend to whom we can share our stories. However, our best friend can never accompany us for 24 hours a day and he or she can definitely leave us at any time. However, Jesus is always with us for 24 hours. Whenever we need Him to share our complaints, He is always there. Even though the world despises us, vilifies us, and considers us worthless, Jesus always considers us valuable in His eyes. Jesus never sees us from our appearance or our status, but He sincerely loves us.

Jesus taught us to love one another as He also loves us. He gave His life to redeem us because of His love for us. We have to be very grateful to have true friendlike Jesus in our lives. So, if right now we are facing problems or carrying heavy burden, pour out all of our hearts to God because He is always with us and ready to hear us. Believe that the Lord Jesus is truly our best friend.

The preaching of the Word of God was continued by Sister Krisdayanti, taken from Matthew 9:27-30a.

When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened. ” (NKJV)

These verses tell us how Jesus healed the eyes of two blind men. These two blind men had faith in Jesus. Let us also believe that Jesus is able to heal us who are sick at the moment. If any of us have pain in the stomach, eyes, feet or even Covid-19, have faith that Jesus has never left us and He really loves us. Therefore, we must believe and continue to have faith in Jesus.
