The word of God was delivered by Eva, taken from Isaiah 40: 27-31.

Isaiah 40: 27-31 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Do you not know, and do you not hear? God is the eternal God who created the earth from end to end; He did not become weary and did not become weary, His understanding was unexpected. He gives strength to the weary and adds strength to the helpless. Young people become tired and lethargic and young people stumble, but those who wait for God gain new strength: they are like an eagle that flies by the power of its wings; they run and do not become weary, they walk and do not become weary.

An eagle has a body almost one meter with its wingspan almost two meters. But what is interesting is that this eagle has a long lifespan, can be up to seventy years just like humans. At some point, the eagle will undergo a transformation in its body at the age of forty to fifty years old. The eagle had to climb to the top of a high mountain and build a nest there with its large beak and almost touch its neck then its claws were thick and long so they made it difficult for the eagle to fly high. At the top of the mountain, the eagle must transform into releasing every beak, claw and feathers to become a strong and young again. And this process takes five to six months long.

This eagle has a vision for the future, so that he can have a longer life, he must go through that phase. Likewise with us my friends. This Pandemic might not be an easy time, some of us maybe sick, or lost our jobs, maybe even had to be separated from our families because of this Pandemic. But God’s Word in the book of Isaiah says “… those who are waiting for God to get new strength are like an eagle ..”. Some people may feel tired and bored when it comes for waiting, but for us, God’s children, when we know that what we are waiting for is the Lord Jesus, we will get new strength from God. And those people are sincere people. So there is no more reason not to be excited because if we wait for God we will get new strength.

The Word of God was continued by Sofie which was taken from Matthew 8: 1-3.

Matthew 8: 1-3 After Jesus came down from the hill, large crowds followed Him. So a man with leprosy came to Him and bowed down and worshiped Him and said, “Sir, if you want, you can cleanse me.” Then Jesus stretched out His hand, touched the man and said, “I want to, be you clean.” Immediately the person was cleansed from leprosy.

In the past, people with leprosy had no cure. He had to live in an unfamiliar place and not be near the residents’ quarters, and people didn’t care about him. Because it is considered as a curse. But in this second verse, this man who was afflicted with leprosy came and bowed down to Jesus. This leper may face a dilemma because he was used to being rejected by others. And then his faith made God wanted to reach out his hand to touch and make the leper clean. And the power of the Lord Jesus never changes. He is the God who loves us. The God who healed this leper is the God who knows and loves us too. Like that leper who fell on his face and worshiped God, hoping for a miracle from God, believe that when we pray with all our hearts, God stretches out His hand to us and miracles will happen to you.
