The service of PMPPKN (Indonesian Christian Student and Youth Fellowship) was held again on Monday, November 16, 2020. It was a live-streaming service that was aired through Facebook (PMPPK Nasional) and Instagram (Zona Anak Tuhan).
The Word of God was delivered by Jilly Lumanauw and Lenny Ratna, taken from John 15:13-15 and Lenny Ratna Luke 7:11-15.
The service was opened in prayer by Jilly and she preached the Word of God from John 15:13-15, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
Friends are the ones who are very close to us. You can talk to your friends about anything. Our friends are always there for us. They never leave us either in good or bad condition. A true friend loves us every time, even to the point of sacrificing and giving His life for His friends. Who is always availbale for 24 for us? It’s Jesus Christ who is our true friend. He is always there for us for 24 hours. He loves us so much that He died on the cross for us to atone for our sins. Maybe you are wondering whether God still want to be your friend because you have disappointed Him for so many times and have committed a lot of sins. Come to Him because He will welcome us if we come to Him. God is pleased to come into our lives.
Jilly invited those who wanted to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. She led them in a prayer of salvation. She also prayed for those who wanted to offer up their lives to be used as God’s servants and for those who wanted to renew their commitment to serve God.
The service was proceeded by Lenny Ratna. She preached the Word of God from Luke 7:11-15, “Now it happened, the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.”
Maybe we experience difficult conditions, just like this mother. No one might understand her feeling and sadness. It seems like there was no future for her because her only son had passed away. However, the Lord is able to make miracles. Maybe this mother also did not know to whom she should talk to, but Jesus had compassion on her. Maybe you have family members who are sick or it seems like there is no future for you. Maybe you don’t know what to do and we don’t seem to understand everything. Llift up your faith for your family members who are sick, for your future, and also for the things that you do not understand. God came to us to give miracles. Lay your hand on the part of the body that is sick, have faith that Jesus is able to heal you. Lenny Ratna prayed for those who were sick and closed the service in prayer. Praise be to God who had blessed many lives today. Amen.
