It is the day where High Schools and University students of South Jakarta, come together in a Joint Prayer Service.
This event was held in the South Jakarta Mayor office and was officially open by Mr. Sugiharto, act on behalf of the Mayor and continued with the head of Christian Employee Fellowship of the Mayor Office, Mr.Lubis.
We know that Indonesia can only stand by the blessing of the Lord and how important we as congregation we stand as intercessors for this nation. The prayers were lead by Mrs. Ema from JDW and Mrs. Endah Caratri from PMPPKN.
God’s Word was given from Isaiah 60: 1-2 (1) Rise up, become bright, for your light comes, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. (2) For indeed, darkness covers the earth, and darkness covers the nations; but the light of the LORD rises upon you, and his glory is made manifest upon you. Delivered by Rev. Stevanus Sugiharto.
To rise means to wake up from sleep. Christians are well associated with love, patience and gentleness. Such traits bring light to the world that is darkened by no knowledge of our Lord Jesus the living God. Whereas we have the Lord Jesus, we have the light of God. It is indeed our duty to bring God’s light in us throughout this South Jakarta so that this city would project the bright glory of the Lord.
We are put here on this world for God’s reasoning as nothing is coincidence in God’s sight.
John 8:12 Then Jesus said to the crowd, saying, “I am the light of the world; whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but he will have the light of life.”
John 11:25 Jesus answered, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me will live even though he is dead,
If we want to truly love God and want to be His light, changed as a new person, then we need to invite this Light, which is Jesus Himself to enter and be God in our lives. Therefore we can live our youth to be a light for our dark surroundings.
When the congregation was asked if they want to give their life accepting Jesus, so many hands raised up. Almost all of the ones who were there. Hallelujah, South Jakarta Youth is for Jesus. And following that, there was an altar call for anyone who wants to serve God. There were 22 young people came forward and we believe God will use their life according to His great will. Praise The Lord.
